This Apprenticeship is a funded position inviting applicants from the Merthyr area. WMC is a home for the arts in Wales, and a cauldron of creativity for the nation. We fire imaginations by curating world-class, critically acclaimed touring productions, from musical theatre and comedy to dance, cabaret and an international festival. We kindle emerging talents with fresh, provocative, and popular pieces of our own, rooted in Welsh culture. And we ignite a passion for the arts in young people with life-changing learning experiences and chances to shine in the spotlight.

We’re now excited to offer a new apprenticeship within our Arts & Engagement Department supporting the Community Engagement, Productions, Creative Technology and Storytelling, Platfform and Llais teams on our diverse range of Projects and Productions that provide opportunities for artists, young people and communities to create wonderful experiences.
Joining us as an apprentice means becoming part of a skilled and supportive team while developing the practical experience and confidence needed for a successful career in finance.

Key Requirements:
The working hours for this apprenticeship are 35 hours per week.
*Applicants will need to be available to start on October 5th for Induction Week.
*Applicants who hold a degree are NOT eligible.
The criteria used to assess applicants is intentionally flexible, as we recognise that people come from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. However, we do expect you to demonstrate a passion for the arts and/or charity and to explain why a role at Wales Millennium Centre appeals to you. You will also need to show that you can learn effectively and communicate well with others. As part of a large organisation, you will be working alongside people with diverse backgrounds, viewpoints, and identities, so strong interpersonal skills are essential.
We are looking for individuals who can show a positive attitude towards professional working, a willingness to learn new skills, and commitment to progressing through the required coursework. Enthusiasm, reliability, and a genuine interest in finance will be key to your success in this role.
