This is a part-time role, working 20 hours per week.

As a venue our Food and Beverage Department is a major source of income to us being able to continue our growth in being the leading home for arts in Wales. We operate seven days a week, and every day except Christmas Day. The food and beverage department has undergone significant change in the last 12 months with two new bars opening, and one due to open soon. Each have their own identity, service style and offer, providing significant opportunity for further growth.

We genuinely have something for everyone, whether you enjoy a locally roasted coffee or a night at the cabaret, we are a home for all and are passionate about delivering amazing experiences.

About the Role and Responsibilities:

  • An exciting new opportunity to join a growing Food and Beverage team here at WMC. We have several bars in operation at any one time, delighting our visitors and firing Imagination for all.
  • We’re looking for a customer service role model, someone who enjoys making the customers day, by being confident in interacting and wowing our visitors by leading by example.
  • Whether it’s our Ffwrnais café/bar, championing the best in Welsh produce, or a great night out at Cabaret, we’ve got something for everyone here at WMC, with more exciting growth coming later this year.
  • To be operationally based in the F&B Outlets, directly leading the team and leading by example, delivering consistently excellent customer service.

Your role may be subject to a DBS check

Key Requirements:

  • To train Food and beverage staff in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) as set by the management team.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role in the F&B industry 
  • Lead all Food and Beverage Staff by communicating and directing them to complete the allocated tasks in line with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) as set by the management team.
  • To assist in the line management of Food and Beverage staff, resolving any issues and escalating these as needed to the Food and Beverage Management team.
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards and compliance.
  • To communicate effectively with management and team to ensure expectations are met, reporting any issues to the management team.
  • Flexibility and evening / weekend availability is essential due to flexible shift patterns.
