The Business operations team look after the building infrastructure and services to the iconic Wales Millennium Centre.  The team are continually improving the energy efficiency and sustainability of the building to preserve this landmark for future generations.  In early 2025, the team successful achieved the ISO14001 accreditation in environmental management acknowledging the great work to date.

About the Role and Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Head of Business Operations, you will be responsible for managing WMC’s Capital Asset Management Plan to ensure the assets are sustainably maintained and operated efficiently.
  • You will manage both capital and non-capital projects either directly or delegated to outside contractors, facilitating the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables, define resource requirements and develop full scale projects plans, managing project budgets and monitoring progress.
  • You will direct the WMC’s energy management strategy, which includes the setting of utility targets, monitoring and targeting against predetermined KPI’s, advancing energy efficient technology wherever possible.
  • Provide specialist site engineering knowledge as and when necessary to ensure engineering continuity is maintained, ensuring operation and maintenance manuals, site drawings, engineering documentation is archived to ensure future building sustainability.
